Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration

About this qualification

The NAFD are pleased to be able to offer a new qualification designed specifically for people who have been working in the funeral service for 6 months or more, working as Funeral Arrangers and Administrators and Funeral Directors.

The NAFD Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration is available for student application and registration via the Online Student Application and Registration process.

This particular qualification can be taken as a stand-alone award, or, as a pre-requisite qualification prior to registration in the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing. Both awards  attract external quality endorsement by Birmingham City University and approval by OneAwards, part of the National Open College Network.

Professional Fees

There are five mandatory Modules within the qualification, designed to equip funeral arrangers and administrators with the comprehensive knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in the role.

This qualification offers acquisition of the comprehensive knowledge and skills required for funeral arranging and administration, and can be achieved within a period of 9 – 12 months.

Holders of the previous NAFD Foundation Certificate in Funeral Service are required to register and achieve the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration (Dip. FAA), prior to registration for the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing.

Registration for this qualification is restricted to existing employees within the funeral service working in related roles.

A Student Registration Fee of £145.00 is payable to the NAFD covering student registration for a period of two years.

The student registration fee includes registration and final certification upon successful achievement of the qualification. Fees are non-refundable.

Registration fee for this course is 145

The fee does not include examination fees for the final examination, tutoring fees or subscription to the Funeral Director Monthly magazine.
