Revised DIPLOMA IN FUNERAL DIRECTING
The revised Diploma in Funeral Directing is now available for funeral directors who have recently been awarded the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration (Dip.FAA).
Please note: the Diploma in Funeral Directing can also be accessed by funeral arrangers who are experienced in their role and are looking for progression into funeral directing. However, due to the design of this qualification, funeral arrangers must discuss and agree access to funeral directing responsibilities, including gaining experience of conducting funerals with their employer in advance of registering for the qualification.
All students who register for the revised Diploma in Funeral Directing will be required to provide evidence of their funeral directing and conducting experience.
The Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration is particularly beneficial for staff currently employed as funeral arrangers and administrators wishing to achieve a stand-alone qualification. Additionally, this qualification can be achieved and used as a stepping stone for progression for funeral arrangers and administrators and funeral directors wishing to progress to the revised Diploma in Funeral Directing.
Please note: the Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration can also be accessed by funeral service operatives / funeral assistants who are experienced in their role and are looking for progression into funeral arranging. Due to the design of this qualification, funeral service operatives / assistants must discuss and agree hands on access to relevant workbased funeral arranging and administration opportunities with their employer in advance of registering for the qualification.
